CHARACTERS
- THOMAS (40s): A veteran steam locomotive engineer covered in soot.
- WILL (16): A young apprentice seeing a train engine for the first time.
SCENE
[INT. TRAIN CAB - DAY]
Gears grind violently as THOMAS shovels coal into the roaring furnace of an iron locomotive. WILL stares in awe out the window as the countryside blurs past at unprecedented speed.
"Master Thomas... it moves faster than any horse! It doesn't tire!"
